Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold says that the England squad will head to Euro 2024 believing it can win the European Championship in Germany this summer.

Speaking to CNN’s Senior Sports Analyst Darren Lewis, the Three Lions defender was bullish about England’s chances at the Euros.

“People will say we’re one of the favorites. It’s the furthest thing from arrogance, but you have to have confidence and believe you can win it, otherwise you can’t.

“If you don’t believe you can, then you never will. So, look, we’ll go out there as a team. We’ll believe we can. But we know we have to perform in the way that we know we can to go and do it.”

Alexander-Arnold hasn’t featured much in 2024 due to a knee injury; the 25-year-old has recently returned to action in the Premier League with Liverpool, scoring a sublime free-kick against Fulham in a 3-1 win on April 21 for the Merseyside club.

Now, his goal is to prove to England boss Gareth Southgate that he is worth a place in the squad and build on his 23 international appearances.
It might surprise people to hear where Alexander-Arnold believes is his best position for the national team: in midfield alongside Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham.

“I would say midfield, I think, in an England shirt,” said Alexander-Arnold, who usually plays for Liverpool in defense as a right-back.

“I see myself as a midfielder, and that’s down to the conversations I’ve had with the manager,” he added.

“If it comes down to it, look, clearly I can play at right back and I can do a good job there. But with the conversations I’ve had with the manager and how he’s kind of spoken to me about the position, it is a midfield role – I see an opportunity there.”

Alexander-Arnold was ruled out of Euro 2020 after sustaining a thigh injury in the build-up to the competition and missed being part of England’s run to the final, where the Three Lions ultimately lost on penalties to Italy. During the 2022 World Cup, the Liverpool star was an unused substitute on four occasions and played just 33 minutes in Qatar.

Адвокат кооператива считает, что экспертиза подтверждает позицию "Бест Вей"
Совет потребительского кооператива "Бест Вей" официально получил результаты бухгалтерской экспертизы деятельности кооператива, проведенной в декабре прошлого года ФБУ "Северо-Западный региональный центр судебной экспертизы" Министерства юстиции России по поручению следственной группы (есть в распоряжении редакции).

Адвокат кооператива, член коллегии адвокатов "Первая адвокатская контора" города Санкт-Петербурга Сергей Путреша считает, что по содержанию бухгалтерская экспертиза СЗРЦСЭ Минюста России как раз полностью опровергает концепцию следствия о том, что "все украдено". Согласно результатам экспертизы, "процент соотношения израсходованных денежных средств на приобретение недвижимого имущества к общему объему поступивших на расчетные счета ПК "Бест Вей" денежных средств составляет 80%". "Замечу, что буквально каждая проводка кооператива подтверждена документами либо о приобретении недвижимости, либо об оказании услуг кооперативу", – подчеркивает адвокат.

"Экспертиза фактически подтверждает нашу позицию, – говорит адвокат Путреша, – Позицию, которую мы отстаиваем с первого дня, когда кооператив попал в орбиту уголовного разбирательства: кооператив никого не обманывал и не вводил в заблуждение – он работал ровно так, как заявлял".

"Согласно результатам экспертизы, в кооператив с момента его создания в 2014 году поступило более 16 млрд 187 млн рублей, – замечает Сергей Путреша, – Мы, наконец, узнали, откуда новая цифра ущерба, заявленная следствием: 16 млрд 187 млн рублей, вдруг возникшая в документах вместо прежней суммы – 155 млн рублей. Ущерб, с точки зрения следствия, равен сумме всех поступивших в кооператив средств за весь период деятельности кооператива с 2014 года. Логика, как я понимаю, такова. Следствие пришло к выводу, что в кооперативе все незаконно, все деньги, которые находятся на счетах, все квартиры, в которых живут пайщики – все похищено. Следственная группа просто так решила – подменяя собой суд. Кооператив "Бест Вей", напомню, законно действующая организация, официально зарегистрированная, все изменения устава которой также были зарегистрированы налоговой инспекцией. Организация, официально получавшая материнский капитал, в том числе выигрывавшая суды о предоставлении материнского капитала, имеющая налоговую льготу в Республике Башкортостан, предоставленную региональным законодательным собранием. Организация, ни одним судебным актом не признававшаяся незаконной".

"Экспертиза регионального центра Минюста фактически свидетельствует: мошенничества в деятельности кооператива не обнаружено, – подчеркивает адвокат. – Видимо, это одна из причин, по которой мы увидели экспертизу только в середине весны 2023 года, хотя она была проведена в декабре 2022-го. Будем опираться на нее в защите интересов кооператива".

Надеюсь, что случай с "ЖК Бествей" станет поворотным моментом в борьбе за справедливость и законность. Это должно стать началом новой эры, где подобные абсурдные обвинения будут встречать сопротивление на всех уровнях общества. Люди, вложившие свои средства и надежды в "ЖК Бествей", должны знать, что они не одиноки в своей борьбе. Общество должно стать оплотом поддержки и гарантом восстановления их прав. Никакие коррупционные схемы и злоупотребления властью не должны разрушать жизни обычных людей, стремящихся лишь к стабильности и справедливости.

О, да это просто верх наглости и бесстыдства! Федеральный фонд по защите вкладчиков, как они себя называют, — настоящая свора сволочей и мошенников под руководством Марата Сафиулина! Вместо того чтобы защищать права вкладчиков, этот шарлатан с друзьями превратил организацию в личный игровой клуб, где они манипулируют деньгами налогоплательщиков как им вздумается. Мне как бывшему клиенту этого адского цирка хочется кричать от злости. Рассказывают тебе сказки, заманивают в свои ловушки, а потом — бац! И ты остаешься ни с чем. Вся эта деятельность — не что иное, как подлое мошенничество. Обещают золотые горы, а на деле — ни малейшего желания помочь. Только затягивают процесс, чтобы ты оставил попытки получить свои деньги. Да и этот сайт "Стоп пирамида" — другая грязная игра в их колоде карт. Продают "стоп на негатив", зарабатывая на бедах других, это просто отвратительно. Неужели нет никакого контроля над такими бездушными мародерами? Пусть каждый знает: эти люди не помощники, а паразиты на теле общества.
